If you are looking for a vigorous and heart pumping African experience, Mihingo Lodge recommends an eleven day experience to combine a uniquely active safari package.

Spread across grounds reaching 200 acres, there is ample opportunity for you to engage in a fantastic selection of activities to get the blood flowing.

Day one, enjoy a seasonal lunch full of fresh and local produce followed by a gentle climb onto our water catchment where you will be able to embrace a panoramic view of the rolling hills and get a feel for where your adventures will take place. By spending at least four nights at Mihingo this offers you the perfect opportunity to plan your spirited itinerary exactly how you want it to be.

Mountain biking across the rural lands, experiencing local Bahima culture and seeing the land surrounding the lodge, is a fascinating way to get a feel for the area.

The following day let us book you in for an unbeatable ride on horseback through the National Park where you will be at one with the wildlife. Walking alongside the many different antelopes such as zebra, topi or eland this will undoubtedly prove to be one of the most unique ways to safari in Africa.

Following this why not get the muscles really pumping and head out for a morning run the next day. Taking in the animals on foot will allow you to identify and observe the smaller and often overlooked mammals, all of which will prove to be yet another special experience.

Having energised your body at the lodge, you will then drive south west towards the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where the mountain gorillas have their home. The journey to this renowned National Park will take six hours on the road which is truly worth it, allowing you to experience a different side of Uganda and its abundance of luscious, diverse and fascinating landscapes.

If this package of adventures isn’t enough to invigorate you then why not finish it all off with a thrilling adventure rafting down Uganda’s River Nile.

The itinerary of activities within this package is extremely flexible to meet your specific preferences.
